The accommodation
R
estored in 2005 with natural materials, Florentine terracotta tiles made by hand for the floors, antique wooden beams on the ceilings, a splendid 17th century fireplace dominates the living room. On the ground floor we have a 30 sq metres living room ( with satellite tv ), a well-equipped kitchen; dishwasher, professional king size stainless steel oven and hob range, fridge, freezer, toaster, and coffeemaker. The washing machine is in a small utility room next to the kitchen. The working tops and surfaces are all made with solid Carrara marble, the taps are solid unpolished brass. On the ground floor there is also a bedroom for two with a large French window and a bathroom just next door.
On the top floor there is natural wood flooring; three 19th century doors give access to the three bedrooms each with two beds and private bathroom. The bedrooms are facing west with a view of the swimming pool, each enjoying the unusual light that filters through the large windows hidden behind the terracotta brick framework, at one time used to give good ventilation to the hayloft. Outside a large veranda with furniture to eat out on or relax reading a book.
Particular care has been taken in the choice of finishings, all the bathroom coverings are in handmade ceramics using traditional craftsmen’s skills honed over decades, the ones in the kitchen are dated 1890 by a Neapolitan manufacturer. The furniture is original and antique, from the column bed in the Lucchese style to the painted dresser in the living room. The same attention has been given to the choice of soft furnishings and décor. The beds are all wood with wood slatted frames and brand-new top quality orthopaedic mattresses.
